The silver marks are really worn but we've managed to make out the makers mark for Johnathan Howell & Co and the Birmingham assay office mark, the anchor, is stamped side ways which would date this before 1899.I think the date letter is a V which would be 1895.The name B Fourdoth is engraved around the collar.Crown shaped mount silver top that holds a polished agate ball.Lovely colour and graining to the partridge wood shaft It measures 85 cm 33 1/2 inches in length, the pommel is 3.7 cm 1 1/2 inches wide. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel, it seems to have little use. It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. No breaks or repairs. Some bumps, scratches and pitting to the silver as shown. Please contact us with any questions you may have. Thank you for looking. Shires Antiques Condition: Excellent condition.
